We had our first 3D printed pinewood derby car race during the summer camp. Congratulations to the winners!!!!

Our students presented at the Princeton University Youth STEM Conference 2026, organized by Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), to an audience of about 800 young curious minds. It was a great event. Thanks to PPPL for hosting this event and inviting 3D STEPS to present.

3D STEPS at 3DPrintopia. This was a great event for our students to have a chance to show their complete projects and be able to talk with so many people including a real builder of NASA satellites.

3D printed pinewood derby car competition at 3DPrintopia: the majority of our students were in top 15 positions out of 33 participants of all ages, including experienced competitors.

After a very productive year at 3D STEPS club we have had a successful presentation at Rutgers University … again. This year we had 2 teams:

• Team 1 presented 3 Pick and Place robots playing chess. Chess were played by a Python program running on Raspberry Pi converting chess notation to G-Code. G-Code was executed by an Arduino with Ramps 1.4 head.
• Team 2 presented 3 self driving cars operated by a Python program on Raspberry Pi.

Save time for our new summer camp program – Engineering with 3D STEPS. Weeks 7/7-7/11 and 7/14-7/18. Broad program with 3D printing/3D modeling, electrical circuits design and programming on Raspberry Pi.
